On the northern margin of the hilly Kozjansko region, south of Šentjur pri Celju, there rises a prominent hill, Rifnik, which dominates the landscape and with its conical shape gives a special charm to the valley along the Voglajna river. From the summit the view stretches from the Pohorje range, Boč and Donačka gora, and the hills along the River Sotla on one side to the Žusem hills, Kalobje, Mačkovec and Resevna on the other side.
