Old Cookbook or How the Housewives in Celje Cooked in the Second Half of the 19th and the First Half of the 20th Century.
The exhibition, available at the castle Strmol in Rogatec, is arranged systematically – the visitors are provided with an overview of the method and development of cooking in the area which encompasses Savinja Valley (Savinjska dolina) and Kozjansko Region.
The presentation outlines the everyday existence of peasant and burgher (middle class) families. Numerous exhibits are there to remind us of our childhood, our grandmother's kitchen, and the pleasant feeling of warmth connected to it.
